After finishing my 5th Nashville album I'm back on the same indie assault on trying to get my songs out to radio again. I was able to get my 2nd album 'Where You Move Me' into the top 17 albums in the college radio scene in 2009, but as an indie it takes such a huge commitment to do this on my own. Most people travel to the valleys of heartache or endure the eye of life’s tempest before they can emerge with songs that grip the human experience; but Nathan Brumley went hiking. Following high school, he spent his formative years as a contractor building recreational trails to high mountain lakes and fishing parks.
With an unassuming demeanor and physical stature of a nature man, it’s easy to pass him by in the street and never know he’s previously had two recording contracts (Incubator Records & Bethel Records) and toured abundantly leaving his musical mark in the pop music scene. As if that wasn’t enough, he won Embassy Music’s national songwriting contest in 2000 which subsequently led to his move from Boise, ID to the music mecca of the south Nashville, TN. He’s previously had 2 publishing deals with Embassy Music and Brandon Hills Publishing and has completed his 5th full length album. He is currently the second place winner in the USA Songwriting Competition and was voted best 14 acts of the Southeast by Discmakers 2007.His music is clearly remindful of piano banging crooners like David Gray, Ben Folds Five, and Gavin Degraw.
In addition to that, Nathan is a writer for the Songs Of Love Organization which writes customized songs for kids with terminal illneses. He also had 3 songs picked up by Warner Brothers Telepictures Music and was the artist of the month with them in March 2009-also the same month that Trailer Park Music picked up his song “Love Outside the Lines” for “Grey’s Anatomy.” Nathan was also a top 15 finalist in the International Song Competition and a top 25 finalist in the Music City Song Search 2008. He’s had cuts with Robert Mauti, Angela Josephine, Jason Cox, Ten Mile Drive, Jennifer Willoughby, Candice Clark, Bailey Birge, and Joe Nash.

Spanglish
I've always loved many genres of music. I'm very eclectic when it comes to songs and really like about anything. This has been a problem in the past when honing in on one type of music to write, but the variety kept it challenging and fun and often inspired new lyrical and melodic ideas.

Working with Dry Fly Innovations
One of my passions outside of songwriting is fly fishing in the state of Idaho where I grew up. I grew to really love the sport through my dad introducing me to it at an early age. Throughout my childhood and into being an adult we made trips constantly to the river or to high mountain lakes; usually to remote places to catch enormous trout.

I can remember when I was 19-I had a fair amount of music talent, some pretty good ambition and a few lofty goals in my music future. When I moved to Nashville, I realized that the talent continued to get younger and the determination, focus and drive of these young artists were more than even I had at almost 10 years past their age!
